How to create a new class type

How to create a new class type.

1. If the object table, you want to classify with, does not exist
- you have to add it to table TCLO using following customizing transaction:
SPRO -> Cross-Application Components -> Classification System -> Classes -> Maintain Object Keys.
If the object table already exists, please go to 2.

Add the table and maintain transaction code and key fields.

2. In transaction O1CL, you also have to add the new object table.
SPRO -> Cross-Application Components -> Classification System -> Classes -> Maintain Object Types and Class Types

3. Then, select the new object table and go to 'Class Types'. Here you can add a new class type.

4. The last necessary step is to maintain the classification status.
Now, the new class type is ready for use.
For more information about class types in general, please have a look at SAP Library:
--> Cross Application Components
   --> Classification System (CA-CL)
      --> Class Types
